Volunteers at the Mora Food Pantry rescue food on a weekly basis! Currently Coborns and the New Generation Bakery in Mora generously donate perishable items that are close to being past their prime.
On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday and Fridays volunteers arrive at Coborns at 8am to pick up the food and deliver it to the food shelf for distribution. Last year, Coborns donated more then 50,000 pounds of food! And on Tuesdays and Thursday, volunteers pick up and deliver food from the New Generation Bakery. They donated more then 4,000 pounds of baked goods. Thanks to them, clients get choices of fresh food and produce to go along with the non-perishables the food shelf provides.
Volunteers are always needed for food rescue, if you can help, please let us know!
